Catherine Rita Renna
Oskaloosa ? A prayer service for Catherine Rita Renna, 88, Lake Shore Estates Community of rural Ozawkie, will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Passaic, N.J., with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Paterson, N.J.
Mrs. Renna died Friday, July 11, 2003, at Jefferson County Geriatric Center in Winchester.
She was born Oct. 16, 1914, in Passaic, N.J., the daughter of Joseph and Angelo Mastro Giovanne Patire. She moved to Ozawkie in 1994.
Mrs. Renna was a dressmaker from the age of 15 until she retired in 1977. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union Local No. 145 in New York City and of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Passaic.
She married John Joseph Renna on July 6, 1932, in Suffern, N.Y. He died Nov. 16, 2000.
Survivors include two sons, Anthony J. Renna, Ozawkie, and Joseph Renna, Milford, N.J.; a daughter, Mary Ann Schroers, Passaic; a brother, Cruce R. Patire, Hoosick Falls, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at the Barnett Funeral Home and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Joseph Fila Funeral Home in Clifton, N.J.
