NAIA headquarters headed to Olathe

? The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics closed Monday on a parcel of land for its new headquarters.

The NAIA set up operations in July 2001 in temporary quarters at a Honeywell Corporation facility in Olathe, returning to the area it left in 1993 when it moved to Tulsa from Kansas City, Mo.

The organization’s permanent headquarters will be built in the Cedar Creek Corporate Park, located along Kansas Highway 10.

The completed campus will overlook a three-acre lake and feature a 35,000-square-foot building that will house the NAIA administration and Champions of Character program.
