Harold Earl Wolf

? Services for Harold Earl Wolf, 76, Gardner, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Gardner. Burial with military honors will be in Gardner Cemetery.

Mr. Wolf died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at Aberdeen Village in Olathe.

He was born July 20, 1926, in Raymore, Mo., the son of Earl and Helen Caroline (Defabaugh) Wolf. He moved to Gardner in 1932. He graduated from Gardner High School in 1944 and from Kansas University in 1951 with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering.

Mr. Wolf farmed for several years and was a mechanical engineer for General Motors Fairfax Plant in Kansas City, Kan., for 37 years before he retired in 1987. He was a technical sergeant in the 42nd Engineer Construction Battalion in the Army during World War II. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where he was an elder, Sunday school teacher and youth sponsor.

He also was a member of Johnson County Zoning Board, Gardner American Legion Post No. 19, Le Roy Hill, Theta Tau fraternity, Gardner Masonic Lodge No. 65, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite, Vocal Chords Barber Shop Quartet, former member and past president of Gardner-Edgerton school board, Gardner Township trustee, former member of Gardner Cemetery Board and KU Alumni Association lifetime member.

He married Marilyn Ella Reece on June 25, 1960, in Gardner. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include three sons, James Adelbert, Glendale, Ariz., David Earl, Gardner, and Robert Harold, Austin, Texas; three daughters, Mary Helen Bulger, Maynard, Md., Linda Kay Wolf, Lawrence, and Nancy Ann Falkner, Hong Kong; three sisters, Esther Virginia Buckman, Salado, Texas, Dorothy Ann Moore, Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Betty Lou Overcash, Crystal River, Fla.; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the church, where a Masonic service will be at 7 p.m. Friday.
