Burglaries and thefts reported
¢ Several musical instruments, microphones and other items were taken in a burglary sometime Saturday morning, according to a Lawrence Police report. A 29-year-old man who lives in the 100 block of Waldon Court reported the losses. He told police he fell asleep while several people were in the residence.
¢ A 1990 Chevrolet Geo was taken sometime during the early morning hours Saturday from the 900 block of Iowa Street, a 46-year-old Lawrence man reported to police. The car was valued at $1,000.

Injury accidents:
¢ Details from a five-car accident Friday on 6th Street near Ohio Street emerged in a police report made public Monday. The wreck sent an Overland Park man and two Lawrence girls, Lacey Billings, 6, and Courtlynn Starks, 5, to Lawrence Memorial Hospital, according to the report. All were treated and released.
The accident occurred at 7:58 a.m. when a Ford Explorer rear-ended a Mazda that had stopped in traffic. The impact caused the Mazda to rear-end a Jeep in front of it. A Dodge Stratus coming up on the accident stopped abruptly, and a Ford Crown Victoria struck it from behind, pushing it into the Explorer.
Billings and Starks were riding in the Mazda. The injured Overland Park man, Joshua Applebaum, was in the Dodge.

Condition updates
¢ Christina R. Nave, 16, McLouth, has been upgraded from critical condition to serious condition at KU Med, Kansas City, Kan. She was injured in a one-car crash Thursday on Fairview Road, 1.6 miles east of U.S. Highway 59 in Jefferson County.
