Injury accidents
¢ Six people were taken to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Topeka following a two-vehicle collision in Jefferson County, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
About 4:15 p.m. Sunday, Verle A. Creek II, 18, Tecumseh, was driving northbound on Kansas Highway 4 when his 1990 Mercury struck a 1998 Mazda driven by Chad W. Smith, 31, Meriden, according to the highway patrol. Both were injured and transported to the hospital.
Rachel Simmons, 17, Lawrence, a passenger in Tecumseh’s vehicle, and three passengers in Smith’s vehicle, Mary Smith, 31, Dustin Smith, 9, and Cassidy Smith, 5, all of Meriden, also were taken to the hospital. Their conditions were not available late Sunday.

Condition updates
¢ Christina R. Nave, 16, McLouth, remained in critical condition Sunday night at KU Med, Kansas City, Kan. She was injured in a one-car crash Thursday on Fairview Road, 1.6 miles east of U.S. Highway 59 in Jefferson County.
