Jayhawks lose recruit to Texas Tech after visit

Kansas University has lost another member of its recruiting class to a Big 12 Conference rival.

After a weekend visit to Texas Tech, running back Taurance Rawls gave a non-binding oral commitment to play football for the Red Raiders, according to rivals.com. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound speedster from Garland, Texas, previously had committed to Kansas.

KU also had a commitment from Kansas City Schlagle standout Rashaad Norwood, but the tight end/defensive end recently changed his commitment to Kansas State.

Signing day is Feb. 5.
