injury accidents
¢ A head-on collision Tuesday morning at 15th and Iowa streets sent a 59-year-old Lawrence man to the hospital.
Frederick M. Woodward was driving west on 15th Street about 9:22 a.m., according to a police report. Nancy P. Kaul, who had been driving east on 15th Street, made an improper left turn onto northbound Iowa in front of him, according to the report.
The resulting impact destroyed Woodward’s 1985 Cadillac and Kaul’s 1992 Ford Taurus. The speed limit at the intersection is 40 mph.
An ambulance took Woodward to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was no longer there Saturday night.
