Lois Ann Carnahan

? Services for Lois Ann Carnahan, 74, Manhattan, will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church in Manhattan. Burial will be in Riley Cemetery.

Mrs. Carnahan died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at her daughter’s home in Prairie Village of pancreatic cancer.

She was born Jan. 6, 1929, in Leonardville, the daughter of Louis and Anna (Baer) Jahnke. She graduated from Riley High School and a business college in Manhattan. She had lived in Clay Center, McPherson and Garden City.

Mrs. Carnahan worked for City Investment Company in Manhattan for 12 years and later worked part-time for Clothes Tree until she retired. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she volunteered for many activities, including Manhattan Food Pantry. She was also involved in Parent Teacher Assn., Girl Scouts, Co-Vets, CICO Sunflowers and volunteered for American Red Cross blood drives.

She married David L. Carnahan on Oct. 26, 1952. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include three daughters, Lori Carnahan, Lawrence, Kris Carnahan, Prairie Village, and Caryn Hearn, Green; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call today at Holmes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley, where the family will receive them from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
