More snow expected for Wednesday

Much of last week’s 4 inches of snow could be gone by Monday afternoon. But don’t put away your snow shovel yet.

Another round of snow is on the way Wednesday, says Matt Makens, 6News meteorologist.

“As far as accumulations, we could see up to an inch, it looks like right now. If the storm track changes, that could change,” Makens said.

Monday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies, with a high reaching 45.

“Tonight, clouds will thicken up and we’ll get down to 17,” he said.

Tuesday’s skies will be cloudy with the high reaching 30. Tuesday night’s low will drop to 20, with snow flurries beginning.

“Snow flurries will continue, mainly in the morning Wednesday, staying cloudy throughout the day, with a high of 25,” Makens said. “It will probably be snow similar to the last kind we had, kind of the lighter stuff.”

Thursday morning’s low temperature will be 10, reaching a high of 27 under partly cloudy skies.

Friday morning’s thermometer readings will start out at 13 in the early morning, then reaching 34 by mid afternoon.

Saturday’s low will be 16 and reaching a high of 40 , with mostly sunny skies.
