Free tax help available at senior center

AARP, cooperating with the Internal Revenue Service, will offer free tax preparation for people with low or moderate incomes, with special attention to people older than 60.

Trained volunteers will be available Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Douglas County Senior Center, 745 Vt., through April 15. Clients will be helped on a first-come, first-served basis, and no appointment is necessary. Please bring all needed tax forms.

Home visits can be scheduled for people unable to go to the center for health reasons by calling Ken Rowan at 842-8847 or Jack Connolly at 865-3985.
