Millard G. Jantz

? Services for Millard G. Jantz, 82, Cimarron, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Cimarron United Methodist Church. Burial with military rites will be in Cimarron Cemetery.

Mr. Jantz died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, at The Shepherd’s Center in Cimarron.

He was born Sept. 28, 1920, in Gray County, the son of Reuben T. Jantz and Ella Koehn. He grew up in the Cimarron area and graduated from Cimarron High School in 1938.

Mr. Jantz served in the 8th Army Air Force, 509th Bomb Squadron during World War II as a radio operator and navigator. He was a farmer and also worked for RL Walker sales as a parts salesman and mechanic. He was a member of Cimarron United Methodist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Roberts-Rohrbaugh Post No. 7828, Cimarron Golf Club, Independent Order of Odd Fellows and 351st Bomb Group Assn. He was also a past board member for USD 102.

He married Levon Herron on March 23, 1943, in Cimarron. She died Sept. 18, 2000.

Survivors include two sons, Larry, Hays, and Richard, Lawrence; two daughters, Anita Ewart and Pam Gleason, both of Cimarron; two brothers, Francis and Leo, both of Cimarron; a sister, Anna Mae Clark, Wichita; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Friends may call from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at Swaim Funeral Chapel in Cimarron.
