North services

Ms. North died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003, at Lakeview Manor.

She was born Sept. 21, 1940, in Lawrence, the daughter of John Donald and Leora Alberta (Casteel) North. She grew up in Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High School.

Ms. North was a dietitian and worked at Lawrence Memorial Hospital for 17 years. She also worked for Douglas County Visiting Nurses Assn. until she retired. She was active at Clinton Parkway Assembly of God Church. She was also a member of Women’s Aglow, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and Eagles Lodge Auxiliary.

Survivors include three sisters, Glenda Channel, Edwardsville, Ronda North, Lawrence, and Patricia Hatch, Leavenworth.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorials to American Heart Assn., Diabetes Assn. or Southern Care Hospice, sent in care of the funeral home.
