Philadelphia ? The Philadelphia 76ers don’t expect to blow many teams out these days — even the lowly Chicago Bulls.

The Sixers, playing without several key frontcourt players, were unable to stop the NBA’s worst road team down the stretch, and it almost cost them a win Wednesday night.

Philadelphia blew an 11-point lead with 3:45 left in the fourth quarter, but Allen Iverson scored four of his 36 points in overtime to lift the 76ers to a 119-111 victory.

Jalen Rose’s leaning 18-footer with 7.6 seconds left in regulation tied it at 109 to cap Chicago’s comeback.

Rose finished with season highs of 38 points and 13 assists. Tyson Chandler had 21 points, 17 rebounds and a career-high seven blocks for the Bulls, who lost their seventh straight game and fell to 2-26 away from home.

“Chicago is 2-and-something on the road, and we’re in a dogfight,” Iverson said. “We got the win, that’s the positive thing. The negative thing is the end of the game. I guess our execution wasn’t there as far as defense.”

The 76ers were without Todd MacCulloch (foot) and Monty Williams (knee), along with Samuel Dalembert and Sam Clancy, both of whom are on the injured list because of knee injuries. Their absence is felt most on the defensive end.

“We have no shot-blocker,” Sixers coach Larry Brown said. “We have a forward playing center and a small backcourt. That’s just the hand we’re dealt, and we just have to get by.

“But people take the ball any way they want on us right now because we don’t have somebody back there who will make them pay.”

Rose was sensational through four quarters before cooling off in overtime. He was scoreless and missed all four of his field-goal attempts in the extra period after making 14 of 21 shots in regulation.

“When we got in overtime, I was irresponsible and I hurt us,” Rose said. “Maybe I was trying to do too much.”

Raptors 97, Hawks 96

Toronto — Vince Carter scored 13 of his 21 points in the final five minutes as Toronto beat Atlanta for its fourth straight win. Antonio Davis added 22 points and nine rebounds for the Raptors, who have won five of six since Carter returned to the lineup after missing 23 straight games because of a strained right knee.

Timberwolves 102, Cavaliers 91

Cleveland — Kevin Garnett had 26 points and 17 rebounds for his 41st double-double of the season to lead surging Minnesota past struggling Cleveland. Garnett baffled the Cavaliers inside with a series of spin moves. He also mixed in a few mid-range jumpers and finished 10-for-17 from the field.

Warriors 113, Knicks 107

New York — Troy Murphy hit an 18-foot jumper with 1:11 left to stop a late New York rally as Golden State won on the road for the second straight night. Murphy had 17 points and 13 rebounds, scoring several times on jump shots from 15 feet and beyond. Gilbert Arenas added 25 points, Jason Richardson had 18 and Antawn Jamison 17 for the Warriors, who shot a season-high 58.9 percent from the field one night after winning in Atlanta.

Lakers 113, Nuggets 102

Denver — Kobe Bryant scored an NBA season-high 51 points — in less than three quarters — as Los Angeles beat Denver to extend its winning streak to seven games. Bryant was 15-for-28 from the field and 18-of-20 on free throws to score 40 or more points for the 11th time this season.

Bucks 120, Mavericks 114

Milwaukee — Ray Allen scored 28 points, and Tim Thomas had a season-high 27 as Milwaukee sent Dallas to its third consecutive loss. With the shot clock winding down, Sam Cassell hit a 15-footer over Nick Van Exel to give the Bucks a 117-114 lead with 25 seconds left.

Rockets 106, Jazz 76

Salt Lake City — Steve Francis scored 36 points, and Yao Ming had 11 of his 15 in the second half as Houston avenged an overtime loss to Utah 24 hours earlier. James Posey and Maurice Taylor added 13 points each for the Rockets, who snapped a three-game skid.

Pacers 83, Hornets 72

New Orleans — Brad Miller scored 18 points and Reggie Miller added 17 as Indiana snapped New Orleans’ three-game winning streak. Jermaine O’Neal scored 14 points for the Pacers and grabbed nine rebounds despite missing most of the first quarter after turning his left ankle. Ron Artest finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Grizzlies 97, Nets 90

Memphis, Tenn. — Earl Watson, forced into a starting role because of injuries, scored a career-high 21 points and handed out six assists to lead Memphis over New Jersey. The Grizzlies snapped a seven-game losing streak, while the Nets dropped their second road game in as many nights.

Wizards 108, Clippers 104

Los Angeles — Michael Jordan had 23 points and 12 assists before fouling out for the first time since the 1991-92 season as Washington defeated Los Angeles. Tyronn Lue added a season-high 21 points, and Christian Laettner had 17.
