The future bride is a 1996 graduate of Colby High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in microbiology from Kansas University in 2001. She is a research technician at the Stowers Institute for Medical Research in Kansas City, Mo.

The future groom is the son of Scott and Diane Jeffress, Lawrence. He is a 1995 graduate of Lawrence High School. He attended Johnson County Community College and Kansas State University. He is a lab technician at Pace Analytical in Lenexa.

The couple plan an April 12 wedding at First United Methodist Church in Lawrence.

The future bride is the daughter of Mark and Tammy Denton, Dodge City, and Dr. Charles and Tammy McElhinney, Dodge City. She is a graduate of Dodge City High School. She received a degree in business administration and accounting from Kansas University. She works at First State Bank & Trust, Lawrence.

The future groom is the son of Bob and Deon Lonnberg, Dodge City. He is a graduate of Dodge City High School. He is pursuing a degree in human development and family life with an emphasis in crime and delinquency at KU. He plans to graduate in May.

The couple plan a June 14 wedding at the First Presbyterian Church in Dodge City.
