University Bridge Club announces the winners of its Feb. 1 game. Tom and Kathy Waller and Leo and Mona Langlois were hosts.

The blue winners were Al Smith, first; Dale Kring, second; Tom Waller and Leo Langlois, third; Hank Miller, fourth, and Ralph Dunn, fifth.

Pink winners were Marty Hartman, first; Wanda Kring, second; Mildred Hoffman, third; Lois Liebert, fourth, and Wilma Cropp, fifth.

The Lawrence 299ers Duplicate Bridge Club met Jan. 29 for its weekly game. Twelve pairs competed in a stratified game that used a Howell movement. Don Brennaman directed the game. Don Daugherty and Harry Talley claimed first place. Olivier Urruty and Dan Osman finished second. Lois Clark and Russell LaForce placed third, followed by Betty Spalsbury and Don Brennaman. Bob Anderson and Judy Bevan took fifth place in A and first place in B. Jan Darting and Janet Williams were second in B and first in C.

The Lawrence TGIF Duplicate Bridge Club met Jan. 31 for its weekly game. The stratified game attracted nine tables and used a Mitchell movement. Don Brennaman directed the game.

Playing North-South, Frances Vogel and Erna Holmes finished in first place. Clyde Romer and Kent McCullough placed second. Virginia Seaver and Chris Lane took third. Patt Radford and Shirley Vaughn placed fourth. Betty Collier and Cathy Blumenfeld took first place in B and C. Harriet Olson and Bob Anderson came in second in B and C.

Competing East-West, Julia Brooks and Wanda Durbin claimed first place. Paul Heitzman and Dave Piro placed second. Jean Otney and Phyllis Brownlee took third. Don Daugherty and Harry Talley claimed fourth place in A and first in B and C. Eldon Herd and Glenna Herd took second place in B.

Gladys Turner and Max Turner claimed first place in A, B and C. Martie Hartman and Pat Burgstahler placed second in A, B and C. Bill Hamilton and Don Brennaman took third place in A, B and C. Terry Tolar and Vince Russo placed fourth in A. Glenna Herd and Bob Anderson finished fifth.
