Tamecka Dixon and Angela Aycock will join Lynette Woodard tonight as the only former Kansas University women’s basketball players with their jerseys hanging in the Allen Fieldhouse rafters.

Dixon and Aycock will be feted at halftime of the Kansas-Missouri men’s basketball game.

Aycock was the Jayhawks’ second Kodak All-American after Woodard. In 1995, she was named to the first team by Kodak and the USBWA, and second team by the Associated Press. She ranks third on KU’s career scoring chart with 1,978 points.

Dixon, KU’s sixth all-time leading scorer, was an All-American in 1997. She was named first team by Kodak and the USBWA, and second team by the AP. An All-Star last season with Los Angeles of the WNBA, she also plays in Italy. Dixon is scheduled to arrive in Lawrence shortly before tonight’s game.

Aycock, a novice nun who lives in Canada, will be unable to take part because of her vows, but will be in town, KU’s Marian Washington said.
