Edna Marie King

Mrs. King died Jan. 30, 2003, at the Wilshire at Lakewood in Lee’s Summit.

She was born March 27, 1912, in Williamstown, the daughter of Guy V. and Isabel M. (Hunter) Gentry. She attended Perry High School and was formerly of Lawrence.

Mrs. King was a bookkeeper for Mark’s Jewelers in Lawrence for 25 years. She was baptized in the Methodist Church.

She married Edgar L. King on Nov. 25, 1933, in Topeka. He died March 21, 1978.

Survivors include two daughters, Marjorie Bradford and Nancy Keene, both of Blue Springs, Mo.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to O.U.R.S. at Lawrence Senior Center or Crossroads Hospice, sent in care of the mortuary.
