Anna Evers Pufahl

? Services for Anna Evers Pufahl, 84, Berryton, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Hope Lutheran Church, Topeka. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Memorial Park Cemetery, Topeka.

Mrs. Pufahl died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at Aldersgate Village in Topeka.

She was born Sept. 13, 1919, in Denver, the daughter of Henry F. and Myrtle Wood Evers. She attended Topeka Lutheran School and graduated from Topeka High School. She lived in the Oakland community before moving in the mid-1940s to Berryton.

Mrs. Pufahl worked at John Morrell Co., Gas Service Co., Wakarusa Sale Barn and Pufahl Excavating Inc. She was a charter member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Hope Lutheran Church, Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and Extension Homemakers Unit.

She married Gerold Pufahl on Jan. 5, 1941, in Topeka. He died May 11, 1997. A grandson also died earlier.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Grame Wulfkuhle, Berryton; three sons, Jerry D. Pufahl, Joplin, Mo., and Darrell H. Pufahl and Eric M. Pufahl, both of Berryton; a sister, Geneva Sorber, Topeka; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after noon Friday at Penwell-Gabel Highland Chapel in Topeka, where family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday.
