Mary Ann Drummet

? Services for Mary Ann Drummet, 87, Manhattan, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Chapel, Manhattan. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Mahaska Cemetery.

Mrs. Drummet died Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, at Mercy Regional Health Center in Manhattan.

She was born Aug. 9, 1916, in Mahaska, the daughter of Victor Jubal and Nellie Pearl (Peake) Wall. She received a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University. She had lived in Manhattan since 1982.

Mrs. Drummet taught high school in Emmett, Mahaska and Lincoln. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Kansas National Education Assn.

She married Keith L. Drummet on Aug. 6, 1942, in Mahaska. He died Sept. 28, 2001.

Survivors include two daughters, Deanne M. Gorsky, St. Joseph, Mo., and Debra L. Drummet, Lawrence; a sister, Ruth M. Bell, Lawrence; a brother, Victor J. Wall, Clay Center; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A great-granddaughter also died earlier.

The family suggests memorials to Sangre de Cristo Hospice Children’s Bereavement Program, 1207 Pueblo Blvd. Way, Pueblo, CO 81005.
