Eugene Ray Emery

Baldwin ? Services for Eugene Ray Emery, 72, Kansas City, Kan., will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Baldwin. Inurnment will follow at Prairie City Cemetery.

Mr. Emery died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, at his home.

He was born May 13, 1931, in Baldwin, the son of Jesse and Verdia (Truex) Emery. He attended Baldwin schools.

Mr. Emery served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for Pyramid Life Co. until his retirement. He later worked for Uni-Guard Security as a security guard.

He married Dorothy Carpenter on July 18, 1957, in Kansas City, Mo. She died Nov. 5, 2003.

Survivors include five sons, Robert, Kansas City, Mo., Richard, Overland Park, Randall, Kansas City, Kan., and Jessie and Harold, both of Texas; a brother, Gary, Baldwin; and a sister, Maxine Emery, Texas.
