Kathryn Louise Belt

COLUMBUS ? Services for Kathryn Louise Belt, 73, Columbus, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Murdock Funeral Home, Columbus. Burial will follow in Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Belt died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, at Muskogee Regional Medical Center, Muskogee, Okla.

She was born July 24, 1930, in Columbus, the daughter of Milas Earl and Lois Leone (Louther) Leggett. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1948.

She had worked for the county superintendent of schools, the register of deeds office of Cherokee County and the offices of Barry Garment Factory. She was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, Columbus, and was worthy adviser and officer at grand assembly for the Order of Rainbow for Girls.

She married Charles Wallace Belt on June 9, 1950, in Columbus. He died earlier.

Survivors include three sons, Charles Michael Belt, Lawrence, Bradley Jay Belt, Muskogee, Okla., and Kevin Joe Belt, Berryton; a sister, Doris Ann Baugh, Muskogee, Okla.; a grandson; and a great-grandson.

Friends may call from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
