Jean Boylan

Services for Jean Boylan, 62, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Boylan died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Sept. 10, 1941, in Bentonville, Ark., the daughter of Horace and Virgie (Ferguson) Armer.

Mrs. Boylan was a seamstress for Scotch Fabric Care for 30 years. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary and Lawrence Women’s Bowling Assn.

She married Ralph Boylan on Dec. 15, 1977, in Lawrence. He survives, of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Calvin Boylan and Kenny Hess, both of Lawrence; seven daughters, Linda Goff, Lawrence, Pam Boylan and Sharon Rayton, both of Wichita, Ruth Vermillion, Andover, Karla Boylan, Whitewater, Darla Boylan, Freeport, Ill., and Lynne Herrick, Pawtucket, R.I.; a brother, Aubrey Armer, Oskaloosa; two sisters, Margie Flippo, Winfield, and Christine Morrison, Oskaloosa; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive them from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
