Shannon Michael Daugherty

Mr. Daugherty died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2003, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.

He was born Jan. 3, 1976, in Red Bank, N.J., the son of Steven and Patricia (Hunt) Daugherty.

Mr. Daugherty went to junior high school in Eudora, and graduated from Eudora High School in 1994. He then moved to Pittsburg and later to Warrensburg, Mo., before moving to Lawrence in October 2002.

He worked for Food 4 Less in Lawrence. He was a volunteer and a member of Sons of American Legion, Post No. 14, Lawrence.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Pat and Leonard and Faulconer, Eudora; a grandmother, DeLoris Gordon, Eudora; and a stepsister, Stephanie Miller, Lawrence.

His father died earlier.

Friends may call from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and before service time Tuesday at the funeral home, where family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today.

The family suggests memorials to the Shannon Daugherty Memorial Fund, sent in care of Kaw Valley State Bank, 739 Main St., Eudora 66025.
