Leonard ‘Vern’ Bagby

? Services for Leonard “Vern” Bagby, 78, Topeka, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home in Topeka. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Topeka.

Mr. Bagby died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, at Midland Hospice House.

He was born Jan. 17, 1925, in Eudora, the son of Leonard N. and Ada (Kurtz) Bagby. He graduated from Eudora High School.

Mr. Bagby was a supervisor for Dr Pepper Bottling Co. in Lawrence and Canada Dry Distributor in Topeka. He was owner and operator of Grade B Milk Route and retired from Grade A Dairying in Shawnee and Jackson County in 1989.

He married Rose Winchell on Feb. 14, 1959, in Topeka. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include four sons, Ed Reusch, Auburn, John McNish and Wayne Babgy, both of Topeka, and Keith Bagby, Circleville; six daughters, Janice Cummins-Bracken, Yvonne Wright and Connie Allen, all of Topeka, Faye Rodecap, Carbondale, Linda Meisenheimer, Overbrook, and Marilyn Welling, Pittsburg; two sisters, Ruby Peaslee, Perry, and Rita Heine, Lawrence; 37 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
