John Harris Arnett Jr.

Leavenworth ? Graveside services for John Harris Arnett Jr., 69, Houston, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Mount Muncie Cemetery and Mausoleum in Lansing. Memorial services will be Saturday at Encourager Church in Houston.

Mr. Arnett died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003, in Houston.

He was born June 10, 1934, in Lawrence, the son of John Harris Sr. and Edna (Underwood) Arnett. He graduated from Kansas University in 1957.

Mr. Arnett worked for Stauffer Restaurants in Chicago, Boston and New York; National Review Magazine in New York; Xerox Corp. in New York and Houston; and retired from commercial real estate in Houston.

Survivors include his wife, Diana, Houston; his son, David, Houston; and a sister, Mary Arnett Palmer, Leawood.

Davis Funeral Chapel in Leavenworth is handling local arrangements.
