Jim F. Stauffer

? Services for Jim F. Stauffer, 64, McPherson, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church, McPherson. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery.

Mr. Stauffer died Monday, Aug. 4, 2003, at his home.

He was born June 29, 1939, in Salina, the son of Kenneth L. Stauffer and Mary Bell. He grew up in New Cambria and lived in Topeka before moving to McPherson in 1972.

Mr. Stauffer was a casualty claims manager for Alliance Insurance Cos. for 38 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Kansas Anthropological Assn., American Anthropologists of South Central Kansas, Missouri Archaeological Society, Oklahoma Anthropological Society and Paleo Research Group. He had served in the U.S. Army.

He married Marilyn J. Fagerquist on Sept. 25, 1964, in Lindsborg. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include three sons, Kevin, Wichita, Mark, San Francisco, and Brian, McPherson; two brothers, Richard, Emporia, and Mike, Manhattan; three sisters, Janet Ireton, Salina, Sally Margritz, Lexington, Neb., and Donna Lantry, Lawrence; and nine grandchildren.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Stockham Family Funeral Home, where family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The family suggests memorials to Kansas Land Trust, Wichita State University Foundation Department of Anthropology or the American Heart Assn., sent in care of the funeral home, 205 N. Chestnut, McPherson 67460.
