Dance series to include pre-performance talk
Kansas University dance instructor Joan Stone will give a talk this evening before the University Dance Company’s spring concert.
During the talk, scheduled from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. at the Seymour Gallery in the Lied Center, Stone will provide background on each of the works to be performed in the concert.
This is the first time the company has presented a preconcert lecture. Stone said she hoped it would help audiences enjoy the performances more.
The spring concerts are at 7:30 p.m. today and Friday at the Lied Center. Tickets are $7 for the public, $5 for students, and are available at the Lied Center, Murphy Hall and SUA.
