Background

Sunday liquor sales aren’t allowed under state law, but several Kansas cities have passed “charter” ordinances exempting themselves from the state law and permitting the Sunday sales.

Adopt on first reading the following ordinance:

  • Ordinance No. 7636, authorizing the possession and sale of alcoholic liquor in Broken Arrow Park on May 9 and May 10.
  • Ordinance No. 7637, designating East 965 Road as Yankee Tank Court.

Adopt on second and final reading the following ordinance:

  • Ordinance No. 7467, annexing approximately .466 acre generally located north of North Street and east of North Third Street.
  • Ordinance No. 7628, establishing the maximum special assessments for the improvement of the Crossgate retaining wall.
  • Ordinance No. 7634, establishing the maximum special assessments for the improvement of West Sixth Street at Comet Lane.
  • Ordinance No. 7635, establishing the maximum special assessments for the improvement of the 31st Street and Nieder Road intersection.
  • Adopt Resolution No. 6465, ordering a public hearing on May 22 on the advisability of the construction of Research Park Drive from 15th Street south 920 feet
