Reed services

Mrs. Reed died Thursday, April 17, 2003, at KU Med in Kansas City, Kan.

She was born Sept. 30, 1930, in Flemington, N.J., the daughter of Lloyd and Elizabeth (Carkhuff) Reasoner.

Mrs. Reed worked for First National Bank and Lawrence National Bank, then at the business office of Lawrence Memorial Hospital for more than 35 years before she retired. She also worked with arts and crafts and sold them from her shop and her home.

She married Delbert F. Reed on Dec. 19, 1954, in Miami, Okla. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Larry D. Reed, Lawrence; four daughters, Karen L. Erskin, Robin L. Reed, Patricia M. Davis and Vickie L. Reed, all of Lawrence; two brothers, Lloyd Reasoner, New Jersey, and William Reasoner, Lincolnton, N.C.; two sisters, Clara Jane Groff and Dorothy Goodell, both of New Jersey; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.

The family suggests memorials to Lawrence Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, sent in care of the funeral home.
