Letha Marvene Warren

? Services for Letha Marvene Warren, 72, Ottawa, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Wilson’s Funeral Home in Wellsville. Burial will follow in Wellsville Cemetery.

Mrs. Warren died Sunday, March 30, 2003, at Olathe Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 16, 1930, in San Diego, the daughter of Joseph W. and Letha M. (Ishmail) Schoonover. She moved to the Ottawa area with her family and attended Ottawa schools. She lived most of her life in Franklin County.

Mrs. Warren was a homemaker and later worked for USD 289. She was a cafeteria worker for more than 25 years before retiring in 1976 as dietitian. She was a member of Wellsville Baptist Church, Kansas Public Employees Retirement System and a past member of the Chat-N-Sew Club.

She married Maurice “Pete” Warren on Oct. 7, 1952, in Topeka. He died in 1988.

Survivors include two daughters, Connie Ingle, Lawrence, and Sharon Eneihen, Rantoul; a brother, Charles Schoonover, Princeton; two sisters, Frances Coxon and Wanona Berardini, both of San Diego; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A son, Jim Warren, and a grandson died earlier.

Family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
