Injury accident

Howard D. Ramsey, 69, Atchison, was taken by LifeStar helicopter to KU Med after a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of U.S. Highway 59 and Kansas Highway 4 in Jefferson County near Nortonville. Ramsey was driving a 1999 Dodge pickup truck east on K-4 when he struck a 2001 Mack truck that was northbound on U.S. 59, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. The Mack truck, driven by Rodney E. Bacon, 48, Topeka, pulled out from a stop sign into the path of the pickup, the patrol said.
