She died Monday, Sept. 9, 2002, while sleeping at home.

Survivors include her parents, of the home; two brothers, Wesley Tolbert and Dominic Kennedy, of the home; paternal grandparents Stanley Earl Burleson and Daisy May Davis, Kansas City; maternal grandmother Kay Ellen Sanders, Lawrence; and great-grandmother Ernstine Lawson.
