Mary Imogene Frisbie

Oskaloosa Services for Mary Imogene Frisbie, 82, Oskaloosa, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Oskaloosa United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Pleasant View Cemetery, Oskaloosa.

Mrs. Frisbie died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, at her home.

She was born Aug. 15, 1920, in Greeley, Colo., the daughter of Ralph M. “Bolly” and Eva Nora (Johnson) Davis. She was a lifelong resident of the Oskaloosa area.

Mrs. Frisbie worked as a clerk in the Register of Deeds Office and the County Engineer’s Office for Jefferson County. She also worked as a teller at the State Bank, Oskaloosa. She retired in December 1988.

She was a member of the Oskaloosa United Methodist Church, a life member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 62 and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit No. 36.

She married William H. Frisbie on Sept. 8, 1945, in Kansas City, Kan. He died Jan. 2, 2001.

She is survived by two sons, William Davis Frisbie and Jack Stephen Frisbie, both of Oskaloosa; a daughter, Linda S. Southiere, Oskaloosa; two sisters, Lucile Means and Dorothy King, both of Oskaloosa; and three grandchildren.

The family will greet friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Barnett Funeral Home, Oskaloosa.
