The following events and construction projects may affect commuter traffic this week in the region:

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Oakland, noon today, Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, Mo.

Kansas University Jayhawks vs. Kansas State Wildcats, 1 p.m. Saturday, Memorial Stadium, Lawrence.

County Road 442 (Stull Road) from East 318 Road to County Road 1029, closed for safety improvements. Detour posted. Commuters are urged to use U.S. Highway 40, Kansas Turnpike or U.S. Highway 24 to travel between Topeka and Lawrence during this project.

U.S. Highway 59, from Douglas-Franklin county line to north city limits of Ottawa, delays up to 15 minutes for road surface recycle and overlay project. Pilot car operation during daylight hours.

U.S. Interstate 70, from Kansas-Missouri state line west about half a mile, lane restrictions for bridge repair and patching. Detour posted.

Kansas Highway 32, eastbound lanes in Wyandotte County, closed for reconstruction. Traffic rerouted to westbound lanes.

Kansas Highway 32, traffic over Turner Diagonal Bridge in Wyandotte County routed to new bridge while second bridge is under construction.

The following city construction projects may affect traffic this week:

21st Street, closed, Ousdahl Road to east of Naismith, for storm sewer improvements.

Naismith southbound, closed south of 19th Street for storm sewer improvements.

19th Terrace, 20th Street and 20th Terrace, periodical closure during work day for storm sewer improvements.

Vermont Street, 23rd Street to 2368 Vermont Street, parking and traffic restricted for waterline installation.

Intersection of 9th and Iowa, traffic interruptions for waterline installation.

K-10 at East Hills Drive, traffic limited to one lane each direction for road improvements.

31st St., Ousdahl Rd. to Iowa St., traffic reduced to one lane each direction for road improvements.

North Michigan, no traffic north of the Woodcreek Town homes entrance to Riverridge Road for road improvements.

Clinton Parkway at Lawrence Avenue, temporary traffic interruptions for brief time spans for traffic signal improvements.

15th and Iowa, intermittent lane closings in turning lanes for street repairs.
