Baxter, Hoss 2-3 at gymnastics meet

Manhattan Free State’s Lacey Baxter was second and Lawrence High’s Molly Hoss third in the all-around, and LHS placed second and Free State third in the team race at a gymnastics meet Saturday at Manhattan High.

MHS won the team title with 103.3 points. LHS was second with 99.95 and FSHS third with 97.65.

Eagle Bend’s Kane 7th at tournament

Lehi, Utah Eagle Bend head pro Jim Kane shot a four-round 3-under-par 285 to place seventh at the Western PGA Club Professional Championship.

Kane shot 72-70-71-72285 on the 7,356-yard, par-72 Thanksgiving Point Golf Club and won $5,500.

Kevin Burton, of Boise, Idaho, won the tournament Saturday with a 280.
