Sherman-Moline

Jill Sherman and Doug Moline, both of Northfield, Ill., were married Aug. 30, 2002, in Chicago.

The bride is the daughter of James Sherman and Jan Shildon, Lawrence, and Mary Lou Wright, Lawrence. She is a Lawrence High School graduate and a Kansas University graduate. She is a creative director for Tribune Media Services in Chicago.

The groom is the son of Bruce and Becky Moline, Charlotte, N.C. He is a graduate of New Trier High School, Winnetka, Ill., and Loyola University in Chicago. He is employed by Long Term Preferred Care of Chicago.

The couple reside in Northfield, Ill.

Morgan-Dodds

Crystal Morgan and Chris Dodds, both of Lawrence, were married June 22, 2002, at Lawrence Free Methodist Church with the Rev. Rick Ostrander officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Larry and Theresa Morgan, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Milford and Sherree Clinton, Centerville.

The bride is a 1998 Lawrence High School graduate. She is pursuing a degree in nursing.

The groom is a 1993 graduate of Sumner Academy and he earned a degree in electrical engineering from KU in 2001. He serves as an officer of nuclear power submarines in the U.S. Navy.

The couple will reside in Kings Bay, Ga.

Fosha Thomas-Grimes

Susan Fosha Thomas and Gary Grimes, both of Lawrence, were married June 22, 2002, at the South Park Gazebo in Lawrence with the Rev. Donald Miller officiating. A family commitment and blessing was performed by the Rev. Jerry McCarty.

The bride is the daughter of Edward and Doris Fosha, Leonardville. The groom is the son of James and Bev Grimes, Kansas City, Kan.

Matron of honor was Annette Ackerman. Best man was Jim Biemick. Bridesmaid was Lynelle Grimes. Groomsman was Kyle Grimes.

Angela Thomas was flower girl. Peggy Beatty was guest book attendant. Randy Van Foeken and Burt Van Foeken were ushers. Natalie Ralston and Genaro Mendez were vocalists. The ceremony music was provided by the Meadowlark String Quartet. Carmen Hocking was the wedding consultant.

A reception, including dinner and dancing, followed the ceremony at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Ballroom in Lawrence. The couple honeymooned in Italy.

The bride is a graduate of Riley County High School, Riley. She received a bachelor’s degree in dietetics and institutional management and a master’s degree in physiology from Kansas State University. She owns a clinical research consulting business and is a clinical research associate.

The groom is a graduate of Harmon High School, Kansas City. Kan. He received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Kansas University. He is the owner of Grimes Construction and is a remolding contractor.

The couple reside in Lawrence.
