Pauline ‘Pat’ S. Greenwood

Topeka Memorial services for Pauline “Pat” S. Greenwood, 95, Topeka, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Congregational Church in Topeka. Private burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Greenwood died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at a Topeka retirement home.

She was born Jan. 28, 1907, in Lowell, Ind., the daughter of Clifford and Mae (Whitaker) Stowell. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1924 and attended Washburn University.

Mrs. Greenwood was a member of Delta Gamma sorority at Washburn. She was also a member of First Congregational Church, Topeka Country Club and Chapter FI of the PEO Sisterhood.

She married George W. Greenwood in 1927 in Topeka. He died Dec. 6, 1972.

Survivors include two sons, G.W. “Jack” Greenwood III, Lawrence, and James S. Greenwood, Chesterfield, Mo.; a daughter, Nancy Williams, Madison, Wis.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Marcia Thompson, and a granddaughter, Julie Thompson, both of Dallas, died earlier.
