She was born Jan. 14, 1924, in Mankato. She had lived for many years in Lawrence and moved to Oskaloosa in 2000.

Mrs. Boyd was a homemaker.

She married Richard W. Boyd on Oct. 4, 1945, in Stockton. He died Oct. 6, 2000.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Lee Boyd, Ozawkie, and Glen Dean Boyd; and three grandchildren.
