Vincent and Ruth Miller, Eudora, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a family gathering on Sunday.

Vincent G. Miller and Ruth M. Whitton were married May 16, 1942, at the United Brethren Church in Kansas City, Kan.

Vincent served in the U.S. Army Air Corps after college, where he was a pilot during World War II. He then worked for Sunshine Biscuits Company for many years as a route salesman. Prior to his retirement, he was a sales representative for Mutual of Omaha insurance company. Ruth worked at Kaw Valley State Bank in Eudora for 20 years, where she retired as a vice president.

The couple has made Eudora their home since 1951.

The couple’s children are April Bascom, David Miller and Karla Pierce, all of Eudora. They also have two grandchildren.
