The future bride is a 2000 graduate of Pennsylvania State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in hotel, restaurant and institution management. She is employed in the sales department at the Steamboat Springs, Colo., Sheraton.

The future groom is the son of David Scot and Donna Hoffman, Lawrence. He is a 1992 graduate of Lawrence High School. He is the director of maintenance at Mountain Castles Property Management, Steamboat Springs, Colo.

The couple plan an Aug. 17 wedding in Steamboat Springs, Colo.

Brown-Cook

Jeanie Brown, Lawrence, and Bob Brown, Overland Park, and Mike and Connie Cook, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their children, Brianne Brown to Casey Cook, both of Lawrence.

The future bride is a 1996 graduate of Lawrence High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Kansas University. She is employed at Lawrence Prompt Care and Environmental Management Resources.

The future groom is a 1996 graduate of Lawrence High School. He plans to graduate in May with a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Nicholls State University in Louisiana. He is a student assistant coach for the baseball team at Nicholls State.

The couple plan a July 6 wedding at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence.

Kampschroeder-True

Halley and Joan Kampschroeder, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Ruth Kampschroeder, to John T. True, both of Mission.

The future bride is a 1996 graduate of Lawrence High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2000 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She is employed at Cerner Corporation in Kansas City, Mo., as a business consultant.

The future groom is the son of Tom and Jane True of Avoca, Iowa.

He is a 1992 graduate of Avo Ha Shelby-Tenant High School in Avoca, Iowa. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science in 1995 from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and a juris doctorate in 1999 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He is employed as an investigator for the U.S. Department of Labor in Kansas City, Mo.

The couple plan a Jan. 4, 2003, wedding at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence.

Frenette-Oliver

Michael and Lisa Oliver, Lawrence, and Pat Frenette, Stratford, Okla., announce the engagement of their children, Zachri J. Oliver and Sarah J. Frenette.

The future bride graduated from high school in Vanoss, Okla. She is a senior at Southern Nazarene University, where she is majoring in biology/chemistry.
