Shelia May Kelsey

Ms. Kelsey died Thursday, March 28, 2002, at the Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan.

She was born Sept. 3, 1943, in Lawrence, the daughter of L.T. Harris Jr. She grew up in Lawrence. She lived in Denver for 20 years, and worked as personal secretary for Denver oilman Marvin Davis. In 1986, she returned to Lawrence and worked for Packer Plastics and in quality control for E&E Display Group until her death.

She was the first woman to be inducted into the Gas & Oil Mens Business Assn.

Survivors include a son, David A. Blew, Lawrence; and two sisters, Karen Ann TIppit, Sun City, Calif., and Kathy Ann Schaulis, Lawrence.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
