She was born Sept. 30, 1954, in Lawrence, the daughter of George and Ruth (Harris) Goins.

She married Frank Barnes in Lawrence. He died earlier.

Survivors include a daughter, Nichole Barnes, of the home; a son, Joey Barnes, Lawrence; a brother, Calvin Goins, Lawrence; a sister, Arleen Jones, Salina; and two grandsons.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. The family suggests memorials to the Salvation Army, sent in care of the mortuary.
