World Online report: Ducks edge Longhorns, 72-70

The Oregon Ducks never trailed the entire game, but that does not mean the outcome was beyond doubt. Texas came back from as many as 13 points down to tie the game several times in the second half, the last with under 30 seconds to play.

Oregon hit a basket on their final possession, to take a two-point lead with under three seconds left on the clock. Texas put the ball in the hands of their freshman phenom T. J. Ford, who drove to the net, but could not get his shot to fall.

The Ducks await the winner of the Kansas-Illinois game to see who will represent the Midwest Region in the Final Four next weekend in Atlanta.
