The story line: Oregon is the nation’s biggest surprise this season, and the Ducks have a trio that rivals anybody’s in the nation for providing points in guard Luke Ridnour, swingman Frederick Jones and forward Luke Jackson. UT is far more physical than the Ducks, but Oregon can score with the best of them. The point-guard matchup of Ridnour and Texas freshman T.J. Ford should be phenomenal.

The “X” factor: Jones can take over a game with his high-flying exploits, and Texas is going to have matchup problems with him. The thought is the Ducks can be thrown off their game by a physical foe, so expect the Longhorns to body up on Jones and Ridnour as often as they can. Texas has a big-time depth advantage.
