She was born June 8, 1917, in Lawrence, the daughter of Oliver and Ida Jane (Daniels) Garner.

She married Allan Aaron Coffman on May 27, 1937, in McLouth. He died Jan. 5, 1992.

Survivors include two sons, Curtis Coffman, Ottawa, and Joe O. Coffman, Tonganoxie; three daughters, Mavis M. Garvin, San Antonio, Tex., Joan Gardner, Winchester, and Sue Fangohr, Sunrise Beach, Mo.; a brother, Raymond Garner, Kansas City, Kan.; two sisters, Elvia Ousdahl and Alberta Snow, both of Lawrence; 18 grandchildren; and 44 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
