Lenexa ? Lawrence’s Raiders defeated the Blue Valley Huskies, 12-4, in a five-inning, run-rule game Friday night.

Troy Wingert blasted two solo home runs while Matt Berner had a home run and triple, good for four RBIs, for the Raiders.

Andrew Pile went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Mike Morrell had a two-run homer for the Raiders (14-11).

“We really played good defense,” Lawrence skipper Carl Brooks said. “We probably hit it as well as we did all year power-wise. Of our nine hits, six were extra bases. The top of the order was really good.”

Ben Bieker (2-1) walked three, struck out one and allowed six hits in a complete game.

“He was effective,” Brooks said of his starter. “It was his best outing in a couple weeks.”

The Raiders will meet the Bartlesville (Okla.) Cubs in a doubleheader at 5 p.m. today in Oklahoma.
