Kansas University chancellor Robert Hemenway says he has not lost faith in embattled athletic director Al Bohl.

Hemenway on Wednesday issued a statement in support of Bohl, who Fresno State officials accused of covering up budget shortfalls during his tenure as Fresno AD.

“Al Bohl has indicated he is satisfied with the resolution that has been reached and Fresno State has indicated the same,” Hemenway said of an undisclosed resolution between Bohl and FSU regarding possible errors in athletic department financial statements.

“Al wants to get on with his work here at the University of Kansas, and that’s what we want.

“I am pleased with the enthusiasm, energy, and leadership he has shown as KU athletics director, and I’m confident he will continue to do a good job for us.”
