Michael W. Floyd

? Memorial services for Michael W. Floyd, 54, Ottawa, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Faith Lutheran Church, Ottawa. Mr. Floyd was cremated.

Mr. Floyd died Friday, June 14, 2002, at Ransom Memorial Hospital, Ottawa.

He was born Oct. 18, 1947, in Ottawa, the son of Max and Marjorie (Brink) Floyd. He grew up in Ottawa and graduated in 1965 from Ottawa High School.

Mr. Floyd served in the Vietnam War as a radar specialist with the U.S. Army before he attended Allen County Community College, Ottawa University and Kansas University.

He worked at King Radio, Ottawa, from 1971 to 1983. He later worked for Hallmark Cards, Radio Shack, and had been working as an electronics assembler for DCI, Lenexa, at the time of his death.

He married Linda Peppers on June 13, 1971, in Mission. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Stephanie Bacon, Ottawa; his father, Ottawa; two brothers, Martin, Lawrence, and Miles, Ottawa; and a grandchild.
