Timby services

ATCHISON ? Graveside services for Marguerite Timby, 91, Merriam, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Mount Vernon Cemetery, Atchison.

Mrs. Timby died Monday, June 10, 2002, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.

She was born March 24, 1911, in St. Joseph, Mo., the daughter of William and Marie (Wolnick) Wickam.

Mrs. Timby worked at Armour Packing Co., Kansas City, Kan., and then at Kansas Cold Storage, Kansas City, Kan., as a bookkeeper. She retired in 1978.

She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Kansas City, Kan.

She married Delbert Timby in 1933, in Atchison. He died Aug. 2, 1944.

Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Stumbo, Lawrence, and Martha Smith, Independence, Mo.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorials to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor’s choice, sent in care of the funeral home.
