Samp-Stammeyer

Jerry and Mary Kay Samp, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter Jennifer Samp to Nathan Stammeyer, both of Lawrence.

The future bride is a 1990 graduate of Rock Bridge Senior High School, Columbia, Mo. She is a 1994 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she received a bachelor’s degree in finance and banking. She received a master’s degree in education in 1998 from Kansas University. She is an account analyst with Cardinal Brands Inc., Lawrence.

The future groom is the son of David and Jackie Stammeyer, Farmington, Iowa. He is a 1989 graduate of Clark County High School in Kahoka, Mo., and a 1995 graduate of Columbia College in Columbia, Mo., where he received a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is an assistant manager at Walgreen’s in Lawrence.

The couple plan a Sept. 7 wedding at KU’s Danforth Chapel in Lawrence.

Thomas-Grimes

Susan Fosha Thomas and Gary Grimes, both of Lawrence, announce their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of Edward and Doris Fosha, Leonardville. She is a graduate of Riley County High School in Riley. She received a bachelor’s degree in dietetics and institutional management and a master’s degree in physiology from Kansas State University. She owns a clinical research consulting business and is a clinical research associate.

The future groom is the son of James and Bev Grimes, Kansas City, Kan. He graduated from Harmon High School in Kansas City, Kan. He received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Kansas University. He is the owner of Grimes Construction and is a remodeling contractor.

The couple plan a June 22 wedding at the South Park Gazebo in Lawrence.

Samp-Bloomer

Jerry and Mary Kay Samp, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter Kristen Samp, Lawrence, to Jay Bloomer, Orlando, Fla.

The future bride is a 1992 graduate of Rock Bridge Senior High School, Columbia, Mo., and a 1996 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is a touring golf professional.

The future groom is the son of Tom and Ruth Bloomer, Summerfield, Fla. He is a 1988 graduate of Winter Park Senior High School in Winter Park, Fla. He is employed with the U.S. Postal Service in Orlando, Fla.

The couple plan a Sept. 7 wedding at KU’s Danforth Chapel in Lawrence.
